General description and reason for business plan:

Due some events of the last few months, last few weeks and not so good news from the western world economies, it looks as it is time to again reinvent what I am doing or move to some other pasture. I have found in the "Old Town" a location I feel is very well suited for a restaurant operation of approximately 40/60 seats with the possibility of some sidewalk seats in the good weather months. The location is in one of the semi-basement shops of "Jacob's Barracks", the fourth shop in from Smilsu Street, address is Torna Street #4. It is what you could say in the little open space in and around the large round tower, within 50 meters or so from the "Tower Restaurant" you can see the front door of the tower from the entrance of this location. I am sure by now you know where the location is.

My proposal is a operation based on good/quick service, quality of meal and
very competitive on price. It will be a combination of "Country Cousins", the "Waffle House" and "Corporal Wallace Fried Chicken". Basic menu of fried chicken, Bar-B-Que, Bar-B-Qued Pork Ribs, and a American style breakfast normal breakfast menu without the pancakes, maybe at a later time pancakes.
Under consideration for the menu will be Bar-B-Qued Chick Breast, a grilled chick filet sandwich, a Hamburger and a Grilled Hamburger Steak with onions.
Menu entree price not to exceed 3 Lats, will compete price wise with "Lido" and
McDonalds. The location, to me, is almost perfect. For Riga and from what I
Have explored in the last two weeks it offers a great location at a price that lets
The operation make some profit.

Proposed operating hours would be from 8AM until 2AM. Two shifts working 9
Hours each plus an cleaning/prep person working from 2AM to 8AM. As to
two things nearly all local restaurant operations don't know is, that simplicity of menu and preparation before you open the door each day goes a long way
in achieving an operation that will be customer friendly.

Monday. You can see that the location is suitable for some
outdoor seats on warm sunny days of spring, summer and fall.
Again you can see the location is just below the British
Airways office in Jacob's Barracks.

Restaurant operating on the oppistie end of Torna Street also in Jacob's Barracks, same size location. When photo taken at around 6:30 PM Monday May 7 the inside dinning room was 85% full and nearly all seats on the sidewalk.
There is business to be done and the proposed location I am
considering should be even better as it is closer to some many more things.

that the sun still hits the proposed location making
some outside tables very attractive during the warmer
weather months.
