WHY THIS IS A GOOD LOCATION:
1. High walking traffic area. I would imagine every tourist who visits
Riga would at some time during their stay walk passed this location.
2. Very close to many of Riga's well-known landmarks; The Powder Tower, Peter's Gate, "Smilsu Street", and located in Jacob's Barracks.
3. Located in Riga's most prestigious commercial center, all major banks
within a two block distance, many western companies have offices in
the same area. Very possible to operate lunch office delivery service
and take out for people working in this area.
4. Location is near many of Riga Hotels, Hotel de Rome 2 blocks, Hotel Riga 3 blocks, Grand Palace hotel 3 blocks, Hotel Konventa Seta 3 blocks, and many other hotels to small and numerous to name. It is also in this area that many western tourist rent private apartments for their stay in Riga.
5. For the apartment dwellers there is no place other than one of the big hotels for them to find breakfast before 11 AM which is the opening time for nearly all restaurants in the "Old City". Also in the "Old City" and Riga in general there are few restaurants open after 11PM, good target market is the people who wish to eat after leaving the movies, theatre, clubs, casinos or just out on the town for the evening.
6. Many other restaurants operate within a radius of a couple of blocks
so people looking for a place to eat will already be thinking about coming
to this area. One of Riga's landmark restaurant operations, especially with
foreign nationals who live and work in Riga is only 50 meters away, "The
Tower Restaurant".
7. Quick/Easy walking access from outside the "Old Town" with parking usually available from 10 PM every night. Only meters from the entrance of the Smilsu Street entrance to the "Old Town".
